English Electric Canberra B(I) Mk.8 3D Model

If you’re looking for a highly detailed 3D model of the English Electric Canberra B(I) Mk.8, you’ve come to the right place. Our free download includes both 3ds file and 3ds max file formats, and the model is built to scale with incredible accuracy. This third-generation Canberra was derived from the B6 as an interdictor, and features a new forward fuselage with a teardrop canopy on the port side.

The Navigator station is located forward of the pilot, giving this aircraft a unique layout that sets it apart from earlier marks, which had the navigator behind the pilot. The B(I) Mk.8 is equipped with a ventral pack that includes 4 x 20 mm Hispano cannon, as well as an external hardpoint under each wing that can carry up to 1,000 lb (454 kg) of bombs or unguided rockets. The Low-Altitude Bombing System (LABS) is also included, making this aircraft capable of delivering nuclear bombs. A prototype was converted from the only B5 and first flown on July 23, 1954. A total of 72 were built, including 17 for export and two that were converted from B2s.
